Tamara Sachs, M.D.

Tamara Sachs is a specialist in Functional Medicine and Integrative Care from Washington, Connecticut. Dr. Sachs graduated with honors in 1985 from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine in 1988 at Saint Raphael Hospital and Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She worked as an Emergency Room doctor for four years before starting her private practice 18 years ago. Dr. Sachs has served on the Scientific Advisory Board of WomenHeart, the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease; and, on the Multidisciplinary Committee for Cancer Care for the Regional Cancer Center, as the chairman of the Collaborative Practice Committee, and as a member of the Ethics Committee at New Milford Hospital, an affiliate of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She is in great demand as a speaker on the topics of heart disease, toxicology, and therapeutic nutrition.
